Kalama School District seeks to fill a vacancy on its Board after District 4 Director Katie Perkins tendered her resignation, which was approved by the Board on Monday, September 22.
A little over two years remain on the current District Director 4 term, which, per Board Policy 1114 and Procedure 1114P, will be filled by the Board following an application period and round of public interviews.
Members of the community are encouraged to apply for the position or nominate candidates for the position. Nominees and applicants must be resident taxpayers of Director District 4 and a United States citizen.
The newly-appointed Board Director will be sworn in at an upcoming regular School Board meeting before the end of the year and will serve the remainder of the unexpired term for District 4 through November 2027.
Applications must be received by 4:00 PM Friday, October 24, 2025.
