Levy information

Kalama School District will host a “Replacement Levy Info Night” at 6 p.m. on Monday (January 27).

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the District’s upcoming Educational Programs and Operations (EP&O) Replacement Levy, which will appear on the February 11 ballot.

The levy, which replaces the 2018 voter-approved levy that expires this year, will allow the school district to continue to provide programs and activities that the state only partially funds.

Programs supported by levy dollars include art, music, woodshop, athletics, natural resources and more. Special Education courses, classroom supplies, crossing guards and substitute teachers are also supported by the levy.

Hosted by KSD Superintendent Eric Nerison, Monday’s information session will be held prior to the School Board meeting inside the Kalama High School Library (548 China Garden Road).

More information on the replacement levy, including a complete list of educational programs and operations it supports, is available here.
