Congratulations to all of our KHS graduates! Below is a timeline for you and for your family the week of graduation!
Graduation Week Timeline
Attendance is mandatory for all three days of practice. If you are late, or absent on Wed, Thur, or Fri (without prior permission) you will not be checked out and MAY NOT walk in the graduation ceremony. This includes Running Start students. Prior arrangements must be made with Mr. White to be excused from mandatory attendance on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
WED. June 3 Baccalaureate Night
o Report to the auditorium at 8:40 a.m. Attendance will be taken!
o Seniors with White/Delker until 11:30.
o Locker clean-out and final check out with Mr. White
o Distribute gowns in Auditorium (Do not decorate hats until after Honors Night)
o Volunteers needed to stay and help decorate
Baccalaureate 7:00pm
Seniors in w/ cap and gown report to Nazarene Church by 6:50pm
o Baccalaureate, sponsored by local Kalama churches
o Start time, 7:00 p.m.
o Seating is limited--parents should arrive early
THUR. June 4 Honors Night
8:40 a.m.
o Report to the auditorium @ 8:40 a.m. Attendance will be taken!
o Seniors with White/Delker until lunch
o Seniors stay to finish decorations
!! 1:00 p.m. AMALAK Student/Parent Tea (1:00 p.m. at Nazarene Church-Invitations mailed)
Awards Night – 7:00pm
o Seniors in cap and gown report to band room 6:30 p.m.
o Senior Awards Night High School auditorium @ 7:00 p.m.
FRI. June 5 Graduation
!! Senior Breakfast at Nazarene Church 8:00am
!!Mandatory graduation practice at the Stadium. Attendance taken 9:30 a.m.
o Graduation speeches practice at the stadium after practice
o After practice, we will decorate for graduation.
o Attendance is MANDATORY. Students will be released when we’re done with all items.
GRADUATION 7:00 p.m.
o Stadium opens at 6:00 p.m.
o Graduates report to lower gym by 6:15 p.m
o Only Native American/Pacific Islander Stoles. No other leis, etc. until after ceremony
o Senior class picture at 6:35 p.m. in lower gym
o Walk to stadium 6:50 p.m. Music begins prior to commencement ceremony
TUE. June 15
o Pick up your diploma in the High School office between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
o Check out form completed/all fines paid to receive diploma.
o Request final transcript to be mailed to your college.
o Running Start students will not be able to pick up their diplomas until grades from the college have been posted. This may take a week or two after graduation.
