Kalama Safe Communities Coalition

The Kalama Safe Communities Coalition has a mission to reduce substance abuse among our youth. The Kalama School District supports the Coalition and would like to encourage participation by our parents.

Disposal of Prescription Drugs – Kalama Safe Communities Coalition in partnership with the Kalama Police Department and Godfrey’s Pharmacy have established a program for safe disposal of unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Disposal of unused and unwanted prescriptions can be taken to Godfrey’s Pharmacy during business hours. All prescriptions must be in original containers with patient names and prescription numbers marked out to protect privacy. Important facts: 70% of persons age 12 and over who abuse prescription painkillers say they get them from a relative or friend. Every day 2500 kids age 12 to 17 try a painkiller for the first time. The Kalama Prescription Drug Disposal Site – Godfrey’s Pharmacy 270 N 1st Street Kalama WA 360-673-2600 Monday – Saturday 9:30am-6pm
