ALL SCHOOL NEWS   A big SHOUT OUT to seniors Richard Beverage, Monique Cornell and Caleb Jones who help our local company Emerald Chemical during the Halloween festivities.  These 3 students came in costume and help set up their booth, were very engaged  with getting the kids involved in the games and even stayed late to take down the booth and help them back to their company.  Emerald Chemical was very impressed with these three students who showed Kalama Nooks Pride and support of our community, 

This week is conferences.  Students will be released at 11:30 Tuesday-Friday.  Today’s schedule is period 1,3,5.  On Wednesday, school will start at 8:30.  IT IS NOT A LATE START!!  We will have periods 2,4,6.  Thursday will be periods 1,3,5 and Friday will be periods 2,4,6 with a Veteran’s Day Assembly @ 9:20

Drama club meeting for all officers and members on Thursday after school. Meet in Mr. Josten's room. 

Are you interested in becoming a cheerleader?  Come learn the basics including jumps and stunting techniques with the KHS cheer team. They’ll be attending a cheer clinic sponsored by Universal Cheer Association on Sunday, November 10th @ Heritage High School in Vancouver.  The cost is $39. If interested, please sign up with Teresa in the office.

HIGH SCHOOL   Seniors interested in joining the military can take the ASVAB test here tomorrow.  Please see Mrs. Delker for details.

During conferences, students will be able to work with their teachers to get Quarter One work completed and finish the quarter strong.  On Tuesday and Thursday, all high school teachers will be working in their classrooms with students.  School gets out at 11:30 but PLEASE STAY and work with your teachers if needed.  Teachers will be in their classrooms from noon until 3:00 on both Tuesday and Thursday.  We will also have an activity bus at 3:00 so if you take the bus you can still stay.

MIDDLE SCHOOL   Have you ever been interested in being a trial lawyer?  We are working on getting a mock trial club started.  If you are interested, sign up outside the office.  We need one more person to make it happen!!

SPORTS & ACTIVITIES  Knowledge Bowl participants. Please check in with Ms. Irwin about Wednesday's meet if you haven't already. We will be leaving Kalama HS at 2:45 on Wednesday. Permission slips are required.  

If you missed the boys’ basketball informational meeting, please go see Coach Armstrong. Try-outs begin Monday, Nov. 18th @ 5:45pm.

Just a reminder there is boys’ basketball open gym every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm-8:30pm. Great opportunity to get ready for the upcoming season.
