What do you enjoy about being part of the Kalama school board?
I love being part of the education process. There is a whole world that exists behind the scenes in educating our kids and I have really enjoyed being a part of it and having a chance to influence the direction our school district is headed.
Why did you choose to run for a school board position?
I had a strong desire to get involved in my community and having seen the dedication of administrators, teachers, staff, and students, I wanted to be a part of supporting them. There are some very important decisions being made in how we educate our children and I wanted to be a part of that process.

Knowing that we are providing the best possible teachers, resources, and facilities to ensure that our kids have the opportunity to succeed in life.
Why did you choose to run for a school board position?
My children had a good educational experience here in Kalama. I wanted to ensure that future generations of students have the same opportunity.

What do you enjoy about being part of the school board?
My favorite part about serving on the school board is the chance to serve the Kalama community, the educators, and students. I believe in helping and giving back to the wonderful community we all live in.
Why did you choose to run for a school board position?
I wanted to serve on Kalama's school board to use my experience and knowledge to help me make decisions, in concert with the rest of the Board, which will help Kalama students be successful in their life after high school.

The smiles on the students' faces. Over the 19 years I have been on the school board, I have seen many great changes in education, and it is a privilege to see and be a part of it.

To contribute to an already great school system.
